The point of my post, which I stated in my post, was that the show runners of Game of Thrones have taken consensual, or in the case of Sansa, non-existent sex scenes and turned them into rapes. In the show, Dany is brutally raped by Khal Drogo, when in the books that same scene is a tender, loving one: He removed her silks one by one, carefully, while Dany sat unmoving, silent, looking into his eyes.
When he bared her small breasts, she could not help herself. She averted her eyes and covered herself with her hands. He pulled her hands away from her breasts, gently but firmly, then lifted her face again to make her look at him. He stood her up then pulled her close to remove the last of her silks. The night air was chilly on her bare skin. She shivered, and gooseflesh covered her arms and legs. She was afraid of what would come next, but for a while nothing happened.
Khal Drogo sat with his legs crossed, looking at her, drinking in her body with his eyes. After a while he began to touch her. Lightly at first, then harder. She could sense the fierce strength in his hands, but he never hurt her.
He held her hand in his own, and brushed her fingers one by one. He ran a hand gently down her leg. He stroked her face, tracing the curve of her ears, running a finger gently around her mouth.
He put both hands in her hair and combed it with his fingers. It seemed as if hours had passed before his hands finally went to her breasts. He stroked the soft skin underneath until it tingled. He circled her nipples with his thumbs, pinched them between thumb and forefinger, then began to pull at her, very lightly at first, then more insistently, until her nipples stiffened and began to ache. He stopped then, and drew her down into his lap. Dany was flushed and breathless, her heart fluttering in her chest.
He cupped her face in his huge hands, and she looked in his eyes. She took his hand and moved it down to the wetness between her thighs. GIFs are not mine, belong to http: Here is the passage in the book for the sex scene between Cersei and Jamie: A light kiss, the merest brush of her lips on his, but he could feel her tremble as he slid his arms around her.
Her mouth opened for his tongue. She pounded on his chest with feeble fists, murmuring about the risk, the danger, about their father, about the septons, about the wrath of gods. He never heard her. He undid his breeches and climbed up and pushed her bare white legs apart. One hand slid up her thigh and underneath her smallclothes.
Jaime lost himself in her flesh. I think that is also important to note that in both of these sex scenes, with Dany and with Cersei, the women guide the men into their bodies. However this sex scene with Cersei and Jamie is a lot different in the show: The scene that we had to witness last night with Sansa does not happen to Sansa in the books.
Sansa is never married to Ramsay Bolton in the books. Ramsay Bolton does rape and abuse Jeyne Poole, and forces Theon Greyjoy to watch and even participate. I had issues with these scenes in books as well, but there are clear and important differences between the book rape of Jeyne Poole, and the rape of Sansa Stark. The biggest difference between these two characters is that Sansa is a main protagonist. I have been following her character arc and progression for literally years.
I want to see Sansa grow from being a victim, grow into a schemer and a worthy adversary to people like Roose Bolton. Jeyne Poole on the other hand, is not a main character. I have not invested in her character arc and growth. Furthermore, the rape of Sansa Stark was completely unnecessary.
It is true that Ramsay is a sadistic psychopath, but it is also true that the show-runners married Sansa to him. The creators of the show could have taken her character into a different direction.
Ramsay has been a brutish killer since season 2. He would still be a psychopath, taking out his tendencies on Theon, or any number of other people he murders, flays, etc. It would have been nice to see Ramsay grow into a more sophisticated villain at the same time as Sansa is learning to scheme from Littlefinger. It would have set up great mind games between the two characters that would have offered more to the growth of both characters then a brutal rape does.
There are numerous other outcomes that the Sansa storyline could have had. The show-runners turned the tender scene between Khal Drogo and Dany into a rape because they wanted to, because they thought that was entertaining. If we allow to let things like this pass without discussion, without analysis, simply because you misread the fucking books, and thought these character were raped in them, that is a huge problem.
So, yes I have read the fucking books, and no these characters are not raped in them, some not at all, and other not by these characters, in these scenes. So maybe your the one who should fuck off to a library and re-read the fucking books.
