By Tricia Gilbride Sarah Jessica Parker, stilettos and narrating your sexual exploits to your laptop created a cultural moment together. Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda remained in the public consciousness, for better or worse, throughout the series and its questionable film continuations. But what about Carrie's spurned lovers? Let's take a second to examine how Carrie's love interests have held up over the years. A moment of silence for all the bad facial hair decisions.
Big Chris Noth Mr. Big first appeared in the pilot, then loomed over all of Carrie's other misguided attempts at love. Their on-again, off-again romance spans the entirety of the series and remains a focal point in the Sex and the City movies.
Chris Noth currently stars in The Good Wife as a disgraced politician whose wife is left to pick up the pieces of his destruction. Timothy Olyphant is now a year-old guy who stars in FX's Justified. First, he played disgustingly cool Jared in Season 1, then he took on the role of Vaughn, a writer and premature ejaculator whose family was a deal-breaker for Carrie in Season 2. Theroux, who also writes and directs, currently stars in HBO's post-apocalyptic drama, The Leftovers.
Oh, and he's engaged to Jennifer Aniston. Aidan John Corbett Aidan the carpenter built himself a devoted following among Sex and the City fans — many believe he is Carrie's one true love. He is also a country musician with two released albums.
Ray Craig Bierko Carrie has great sex with Ray the musician, but jazz ultimately tears their relationship apart. Craig Bierko almost played Miss. Trunchbull in Matilda the Musical on Broadway, but had to drop out after he was injured during rehearsals. He stars as Chet, an arrogant reality show creator which is what you would assume is the occupation of a guy named Chet on Lifetime's original series UnREAL. Berger Ron Livingston Jack Berger is Carrie's novelist boyfriend, who breaks up with her on a Post-It note because he's a writer and it just makes more sense for him to express himself that way.
Ron Livingston had a recurring role on Boardwalk Empire and keeps busy with various film roles. He will appear in this summer's Vacation and will play Elvis Presley, who has a target on his back in the upcoming drama Shangri-La Suite. He basically looks the same and it's hard to imagine him as anything other than a silver fox.
Jake Bradley Cooper What seemed to be a promising love connection came to a screeching halt when Jake picks up a magazine featuring Carrie on the cover. We've all been there.
No one's really heard from Bradley Cooper for a while, but we hope he's well. Aleksandr Petrovsky Mikhail Baryshnikov The Russian almost swoops Carrie away from Manhattan, but she ultimately was not willing to give up her friends and career to be with him in Paris.
Baryshnikov is a great ballet dancer and choreographer.
