I do not own Harry Potter, nor any of the characters from the books or movies. I do not make any money from the writing of this story. I am only writing this for fun. Harry and Ginny celebrate a Quidditch victory over Puddemere United in the locker room. Its wings fluttered as its pursuers tried to gain any kind of edge over the other. The winner would catch the Snitch and end the game. There was also a small consequence of that victory waiting in the form of a trophy: Add the fact that the Chudley Cannons and Puddemere United were bitter rivals, and the result was a brutal game, even by Quidditch standards.
Everybody in the stadium knew that the game would come down to the two seekers. So it came down to a battle between Harry Potter and Michael Corner. He knew he could catch the Snitch easily if they were flying the same model of brooms.
Still, Corner had gotten the first glimpse of the Snitch and his faster broom gave him the initial advantage. However, a bludger did almost hit him. No doubt it had been sent by George Weasley, one of the beaters for the Cannons.
This allowed Harry the time to catch up to Corner. Neck in neck they raced, their hands stretched out in front of them. A lot of bumping and hand interference went between the Seekers, even though such actions almost risked a whistle from the referee and a penalty. He had won Gryffindor their first Quidditch championship in almost a decade under similar circumstances. He was confident he could pull out a victory.
Elsewhere in the field, Ginny Weasley was weaving in and out of opposing Chasers and Beaters with the Quaffle clutched under her arm. The score was deadlocked at She and the other Cannons Chasers needed to score as many points as they could even though catching the Snitch would net them points. However, Wood proved to be too adept at his position. Ginny made her sixth attempt of the day, but the Quaffle was blocked once again.
She took a second to look around the field and saw the Chasers in their dangerous chase for the Snitch. After all, since she was his girlfriend, she had a tendency to worry about him. Worrying about Harry Potter was expected, given his history. When he was one the Dark Lord Voldemort had murdered his parents and had tried to kill him as well. But the evil curse, Avada Kedavra, not only had failed to kill Harry Potter, but also had rebounded and struck the Dark Lord.
Somehow, Voldemort also survived, but it cost him his body. For thirteen years Voldemort was gone from the wizarding world. He had been alone and friendless. He had been alone until Peter Pettigrew, long thought to be dead, had rejoined his master in Albania.
Reunited with one of his servants, Voldemort had hatched a plan that allowed him to return to his body. It also allowed him to launch a second war against the wizarding world, a war that was even bloodier than the first war.
While many brave witches and wizards had died during the first war, the second war produced far more famous casualties: But no casualty was as famous as Albus Dumbledore. Not only did the Dark Lord launch a final assault on Hogwarts, but he had also set up 6 objects to store his soul known as Horcruxes.
They had to be destroyed before any attempt to kill the Dark Lord could be made. But Harry and his friends were successful. Even though the final battle was bloody and vicious, Harry triumphed over Voldemort. He managed to destroy the Dark Lord once and for all. It had been a year later that Harry and Ginny had started dating again, although it was more of an unofficial engagement than their relationship at Hogwarts had been.
But to say it had deepened would be too much of an understatement. Realizing this, they had consummated their love, which only served to strengthen the bond even more. Ginny, George, and Ron had joined him. Now they were struggling against Puddemere for the League Championship. Harry and Michael Corner continued their rigorous race for the Snitch.
Harry leaned forward to give himself a burst of extra speed. Corner followed suit and Harry knew some sort of distraction would have to take place if either of them was going to capture the Snitch. That distraction came at the appropriate time. Another Bludger sailed toward the two Seekers. Now free of any competition, Harry was simply able to lean forward and clasp his hand over the Snitch.
The whistle sounded and a tremendous roar originated from the stands. Still on their brooms, they swarmed over him, forcing him to the ground on their terms. Harry saw wave after wave of orange clad Cannons supports move onto the field and toward the jubilant team. Harry tried to break away from the celebration, but Ron and George hoisted him onto their shoulders as they prepared to walk a victory lap around the stadium.
Anybody could see that the Puddemere players, including no, especially Wood, were disappointed. They threw their brooms down angrily after they landed and scowls formed across their faces as the Cannons continued their celebration. In fact, he was sure that the non-orange clad fan had made her way over to Ron to hug him.
After all, Hermione Granger never liked Quidditch that much, let alone flying. But Ron Weasley was her boyfriend and wanted to support him however she could. After what seemed like an eternity, the teammates and fans dissipated, allowing Harry a chance to breathe. He tilted her face toward his and they kissed. They broke apart reluctantly and hurried to join their teammates in the Chudley locker room. To say that the Cannons were happy about the championship was an understatement.
Normally, after a win, only loud singing or cheers would be in the locker room before the shower stalls were used.
This time, mugs of firewhiskey and butterbeer were being passed around just as Harry and Ginny entered the locker room. He held two mugs in his hand. Before Ron could object, Ginny seized the firewhiskey and began to gulp it greedily. She came up for air and grinned wickedly at her brother. Ron opened his mouth to try another objection, but was answered with a firewhiskey being thrust into his hand. As the Seeker, he was content to let the celebration go on forever.
But since he was also the coach first player to hold the position of coach at the same time , he had other responsibilities to fulfill. After ten more minutes of drinking, singing, laughter and poor attempts at dancing, Harry cleared this throat. He tried again, but they still ignored him. Ginny sighed and gave him a look that said quite clearly, 'must I do everything'? She took out her wand and a red light filled the room.
That attracted their attention. First, great win everybody! So have a safe summer, but make sure you keep in shape. Make sure all the equipment and game uniforms have been turned in. Some post-game celebrations had lasted almost six hours before. At least he would be able to double check that the equipment was turned in. He would also be able to hold a private celebration with Ginny like they had planned on doing if Chudley won the championship.
Ginny helped him organize the equipment: Harry checked off the uniform numbers on the uniform list. That was going to change in a matter of minutes. Did anybody else leave anything here? It was basically empty. Harry could just imagine the articles Skeeter would write if she caught them in such a compromising position. He quickly cast an animagus detection spell, a useful spell to find out if there were any unregistered animagi waiting around.
The wand tip glowed blue and he sighed with relief. Rita Skeeter was not going to be around, at least this time. Their lips met in a gentle kiss. His hands reached up to the clasp on her bra and undid it. She let her bra fall to the locker room fall, baring her breasts.
Harry gently caressed them while trailing kisses along her face and neck. Their underwear soon followed the rest of their clothes on the floor.
